Derby County have hit a decent run of form in the Championship and they’ll be looking to continue that against Stoke City this Saturday lunchtime.
Last weekend, Derby extended their unbeaten run in the Championship to four matches after clinching a 1-1 draw against Hull City.
Dajaune Brown scored his first senior goal for the Rams and he’s been confirmed as fit by Paul Warne for the visit to Stoke City.
Warne’s men are still looking for their first away win of the campaign and at their seventh attempt, Sam Parkin thinks Derby will beat Stoke City 1-0, with another pundit now sharing his prediction.
David Putton predicts Stoke City vs Derby County
Derby are currently in a healthy 12th position in the Championship table but at this stage, the teams are tightly bunched together.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 12 | 12 | 4 | 3 | 5 | 15 | 15 | 0 | 15 |
Following Luton Town’s draw against West Brom on Friday night, only three points now separates the Rams in 12th to Plymouth Argyle in 22nd, telling of how exciting the second tier is.
This weekend, the visitors will be keen to put clear daylight between them and the relegation places by beating Stoke.
As stated above, Parkin thinks Derby will pull a 1-0 win out of the bag and that is a prediction shared by Sky Sports pundit David Prutton.
Speaking on the Essential EFL podcast, Prutton said: “I’m going to go Derby to win this, nil one.”
Warne’s side haven’t won an away match since clinching a 1-0 victory over Cambridge United in April thanks to a winning goal from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

Should Dajaune Brown start vs Stoke City?
Brown was the hero last weekend, as he came off the bench to leap highest and score his first senior goal with Derby securing a point against Hull.
Now, with the 19-year-old confirmed as fit to start at the bet365 stadium, it begs the question as to whether Warne will throw him into the side.
Jerry Yates has looked promising up top but hasn’t shown that killer instinct in front of goal, scoring just once in 10 appearances.

Yates is on loan from Swansea City and may not be at Derby for the long term, while Brown is a talented young striker with huge potential.
Since emerging as a prolific forward in the youth system, he’s showcased his sharp eye for goal, both for the under-21s, out on loan at Gateshead and now for the Rams.
The teenager has demonstrated that he’s ready to play Championship football and perhaps Warne could reward him with his first start, although unlikely.
