Derby County manager Paul Warne is set to be handed a boost with striker Tyreece John-Jules set to return.
The 22-year-old joined on loan from Arsenal back in August until January but has only made two appearances so far in League One this season.
He has been on the sidelines for the last two months for Derby due to a thigh injury he picked up in early September.
22-year-old set to return for Rams
Journalist Leigh Curtis, for the Derby Telegraph, said in his article about the Rams’ injured players that John-Jules could make his long-awaited return to the squad against Bristol Rovers, when the Rams host them next weekend.
“The striker has been training with the first-team squad and is preparing for a full week in training from next Monday. After being sidelined because of a thigh injury, if he comes through training then he could be involved against Rovers albeit on the bench.”
John-Jules return boost for Warne
Having John-Jules back will be a boost for Warne.
Warne has been having a few problems as of late at striker, but James Collins has temporarily alleviated those fears with five goals in his last three games.
But John-Jules will provide some pace and trickery upfront, something which Derby lack in that position.
The Rams’ other options in Martyn Waghorn and Conor Washington have been disappointing since their arrivals in the summer, so it is a big chance for John-Jules to make a statement after a few years in League One where his career has stagnated due to his performances on the pitch.
