Derby County are set to sign Arsenal striker Tyreece John-Jules.

According to The72, John-Jules will be joining on a loan deal until January.

Paul Warne has been looking to add to his attacking options after a mixed start to the season for the Rams, on which they’ve won two and lost two of their opening four games in League One.

It is unknown when John-Jules’ contract expires at Arsenal, as it was due to expire in June, but there has been no official confirmation on how long it has been extended by.

John-Jules is a 22–year-old striker but can also play just behind in central attacking midfield.

Coming through the Gunners’ academy, the England under-21 international has spent the majority of the last few seasons out on loan, mostly in League One.

He spent the whole of last season out on loan at Ipswich Town, playing 17 games and scoring 3 goals as they finished second, securing promotion back to the Championship.

The 21/22 campaign saw him spend the first half on loan at Blackpool in the Championship and the second half at Sheffield Wednesday. He has also spent the 20/21 season on loan at Doncaster Rovers, and the second half of the 19/20 season at Lincoln City.

Warne has already added to his forward line in the window, bringing in Conor Washington from his former club Rotherham United, and bringing back Martyn Waghorn to Pride Park for a second spell.

The manager came out earlier today and confirmed that he was ‘hopeful’ that a signing or two would be announced later tonight. John-Jules could be one of them.
