Paul Warne has reacted to the ‘game-changing’ red card during Derby County’s weekend fixture against Leyton Orient.
Derby County continued their positive form in League One as they swatted 10-man Leyton Orient aside with a 3-0 thrashing.
The Rams continued their run of five consecutive victories and edged themselves further into the playoff battle.
Now sitting in fifth, Paul Warne‘s side are just six points adrift of league leaders Portsmouth and will be confident of returning to the Championship next season.
During the game, Orient went down to 10 men however Brandon Cooper was sent off for a flailing arm which struck James Collins. Now Warne has shared his verdict.

Warne gives verdict on Leyton Orient sending off
As reported by the Derbyshire Telegraph, Warne agreed with the sending-off and admitted he isn’t a fan of facing teams with 10 men.
“It was a sending-off. I have the benefit of seeing it on the iPad and it probably was game-changing. I never like playing against 10 men because they have nothing to lose and are fighting for everything.
“The lads controlled the game okay but I can’t say I am over the moon. I am not being greedy, it’s just about winning especially away. Get the result, get off, good.”
Derby will be delighted to have picked up the three points despite what was a tough outing which Warne clearly wasn’t thrilled by.
The result sets Derby up well to face both Wycombe and Lincoln at home before Christmas hits, with wins in both possibly leaving the Rams as high as joint top if Portsmouth drop points.
If Derby wins their games in hand, they’ll comfortably be third which is a decent foundation on which to build and target further success later this season.
Warne has done a phenomenal job at the club of late, bouncing back well to what was a tricky October that included losses to both Shrewsbury and Stevenage.
