Prospective new Derby County owner Erik Alonso has over the past few weeks taken to Twitter to attempt to make contact with several footballers across Europe.
The 29-year-old Spaniard has an agreement in place to take over the Pride Park club.
Alonso is now awaiting approval from the EFL, and he seemingly isn’t wasting any time as he appears to be plotting several Derby transfer targets via social media.

The Rams secured their Championship status on the final day of the season.
Manager Wayne Rooney has called upon the club to get things sorted so he can immediately start work ahead of next season, while Alonso may already have some targets in mind.
Alonso’s recent activity on Twitter has plenty of Derby supporters talking.
The Spaniard appeared to be passing off a £42 million lavish house as his own, only for supporters to reveal it’s a property in Bel Air which was published on TikTok (Daily Mail).
The Daily Mail also claim Alonso hasn’t yet provided proof of funds for the takeover.
And the latest reveal on Twitter may put further doubt into his professionalism as it appears he has been attempting contact with footballers on the social media platform.
One player in particular is Ryan Gauld, the former wonderkid dubbed the ‘Scottish Messi’ who has a £50 million buyout clause in his Sporting Lisbon contract (Guardian).

Others include Emreli Mahir, Yanis Hamache and 29-year-old Crotone striker Simy who has scored an impressive 19 Serie A goals in 35 appearances this season.
It’s questionable whether the majority of these players would pass for a work permit.
Derby no doubt must strengthen their squad this summer. However, the prospective takeover and off-field issues could prove a major sticking point the longer they linger on.
