Andre Wisdom is back in professional football, following his Derby County exit in 2021.
The last time Andre Wisdom played for Derby County, the Rams narrowly avoided relegation to League One.
Phillip Cocu started the season in charge at Pride Park, though the season ended with Wayne Rooney at the helm.
Relegation would come the following season but Paul Warne now has Derby County back in the Championship following a two-year hiatus in League One.
And last weekend, Warne’s men got their first points of the season on the board, beating Middlesbrough 1-0 thanks to a goal from Kayden Jackson in the first half.
Next up is a trip to Watford who’ve started the season in fine form winning both their opening games.
EFL pundit Sam Parkinson has predicted a 2-0 Watford win.
Ahead of this weekend, former Derby County player Andre Wisdom has signed his first professional contract in three years, following his exit from Derby County in 2021.

Former Derby County man Andre Wisdom signs for Derry City
In four years at Derby County, versatile defender Wisdom made 145 total appearances.
The former Liverpool youngster saw his contract with Derby expire at the end of the 2020/21 season, with the 31-year-old then spending two years out of the game.
Wisdom returned with National League North outfit Warrington Town for the last season, making 34 appearances in all competitions.
Now though, Wisdom has signed a professional deal with Derry City, signing until the end of the Irish Premier Division season in November.
What next for Andre Wisdom after short-term Derry City deal
After a tough few years on and off the pitch, Wisdom will be focused on simply playing football.
Derry have nine games left of the season and so Wisdom will be hoping to play a part in the final nine games, and potentially earn himself another pro deal going into their pre-season.
He remains a vastly experienced player and his downfall following his Derby exit was very unfortunate.
But having played for the likes of Liverpool and having played in Europe with the likes of Red Bull Salzburg, Wisdom arrives in Ireland as a very experienced player, also coming off the back of an involved season with Warrington.
It’ll be a step up for Wisdom, but he’s played at a much higher level in the past.
