Derby County midfielder Ebou Adams featured for Gambia in their AFCON qualifier against Comoros on Friday evening.
Just two Derby County players are on senior international duty during this November break: Ebou Adams for Gambia and Jacob Widell Zetterstrom for Sweden.
It’s another timely break for the Rams following what was a congested spell between the October break and this current international break, with Paul Warne’s side having played six games in that time.
Still, Derby are holding their own in the Championship, currently sitting in 12th place of the table and having lost just one of their last seven in the league.
Adams has featured in all 15 Championship games so far, scoring once. Derby County signed Adams permanently from Cardiff City during the summer transfer window after his impressive loan spell in the second half of last season.
Gambian international Adams was on duty on Friday night.

How did Ebou Adams perform for Gambia against Comoros?
Gambia fans have been left disappointed as their nation fell out of the AFCON qualifiers, preventing what would’ve been a third-straight appearance in AFCON next year.
Adams started the game in midfield but was brought off at half-time as Gambia looked for the win, drawing 1-1 at the break. But the changes didn’t prove fruitful as Gambia went on to lose 2-1 against Comoros.
Despite playing just one half of the game, Adams recorded 40 touches of the ball as well as 29 accurate passes with a completion rate of 88%.
The 28-year-old completed one duel, one long pass, as well as completing two defensive actions, both of which were interceptions.
Sofascore gave Adams a 6.7 rating on the night, which is generally low compared to the rest that played.

Ebou Adams running Derby County suspension risk
Adams is at risk of suspension for Derby County having picked up his fourth yellow card of the season in win at Coventry City earlier in November.
And it’ll certainly be a blow for Warne to lose Adams for one game. He’s shown this season and in his most recent international display that he’s such a lively and involved midfielder, even despite what was a disappointing result for Gambia.
Gambia have one more qualifier to play against Tunisia on Monday, though it won’t count for anything.
Warne will be hoping that Adams returns fit and injury-free ahead of what is a hectic festive period for the Rams, who now have nine games left in 2024.
The next is a trip to Preston North End on Saturday November 23rd.
