Derby County manager Paul Warne has said that Derby did not create enough chances in their FA Cup defeat to Crewe Alexandra.
The Rams hosted the Alex on Tuesday night in the replay of the first round tie, after the original ended 2-2 under two weeks ago.
Tom Barkhuizen gave Derby the lead inside three minutes, but Crewe were leading 1-2 by the 21st minute.
A third goal for Crewe from Mickey Demetriou in the second half secured a second round tie at home to Bristol Rovers.

Speaking to the club website after the game, Warne said that his side did not create enough in order to be able to score any more goals
“As I’ve said on numerous occasions to the group, if you’re not at your best then any team can beat you.We started the game quite well and it may sound weird, but we maybe scored too early and we thought it would be a nice easy evening for us.
“Ironically, we played better away from home in the first round tie than we did at home tonight and we’ve been really good at Pride Park recently.
“We didn’t create enough goalscoring opportunities and even with half an hour to go if felt like we were just rushing things and crossing the ball into the box from anywhere.
“You have to play with a bit of character and push your chest out and I felt like we lacked a little bit of character tonight.”
Warn fails to get Derby scoring – again
After a good few results in the last two weeks, Derby outdone all that hard work once again.
Scoring goals had been a problem for Warne for some time, with it being something he has previously spoken about on numerous occasions that he wanted to improve.
But after this result, it feels like Derby are back to square one, with the fans back against Warne once again.
Conor Hourihane was slammed for his performance, being described as ‘desperately poor’.
