Derby County are aiming to sign a new striker before deadline day later this week.
Paul Warne has made nine first-team additions for the Rams during the 2024 summer transfer window so far.
Summer addition Ben Osborn impressed for Derby County against Middlesbrough when the club picked up a massive 1-0 win.
Another recent signing Ebou Adams scored as Derby lost to Watford this past weekend as well.
Adams and Osborn are among the four central midfielders to have moved to Pride Park in the current transfer window.
That area of the pitch is now well-stocked, while the addition of Jacob Widell Zetterstrom has also solved the club’s need for a new number-one goalkeeper.
With the transfer window set to slam shut on August 30th though, Derby are still yet to make much progress in their hunt for another striker.

Derby County told what must happen for new striker to sign
Kayden Jackson and Jerry Yates have arrived at the club over the summer but neither player is apparently enough for Warne as the Derbyshire outfit continue to be linked with strikers.
Former Derby striker Tyreece John-Jules was spotted at Vicarage Road during their 2-1 defeat, sparking speculation over a potential move now he is a free agent.
Elsewhere, Luton Town’s Cauley Woodrow was linked with Derby earlier this month, though it did appear that pursuit was now unlikely to be completed.
However, writing on his Patreon, journalist Alan Nixon has now told Derby what must happen for them to secure a deal for Woodrow.
When asked by a fan ‘Could Cauley Woodrow come to Derby then?’, Nixon suggested a transfer cannot happen until Luton sign a new centre-forward themselves.
He wrote: “One step at a time … Luton in market for a striker … not got him yet though.”

Will Cauley Woodrow improve Derby County
As already mentioned, Derby’s current striker options are not the most prolific.
Yates has made two competitive appearances for the club so far but is yet to find the back of the net.
Jackson, meanwhile, did score in the shock 1-0 win over Middlesbrough but that goal was a real gift following the error from Isaiah Jones.
Other than that effort, the duo have not looked too impressive in the final third and will need to improve if Derby are to avoid relegation this season.
Unfortunately for Rams fans, a deal for Woodrow might not be the saving grace they are hoping it will be.
Ian Wright did label Woodrow as ‘fantastic’ earlier this year, as per Luton Today.
However, the 29-year-old has only scored six times for Luton in 62 appearances in all competitions and found the net just once in 24 Premier League outings last term.
