Derby County predicted XI v Port Vale: Warne forced to change midfield

Derby County travel to Port Vale on Tuesday night as they look to win their fourth consecutive game in the league.

The Rams claimed a 2-1 victory on Saturday afternoon, with an own goal from Jack Hunt giving Derby the lead midway through the second half.

Former Derby striker Chris Martin then levelled for the away side in the 87th minute, who looked to have stolen a point for the Gas in the dying minutes.

But in-form winger Mendez-Laing stepped up to score just two minutes later to give the Rams all three points, with the result pushing them into the play-off places.

Here is how we think Derby County could line up on Wednesday night.

Derby are starting to have a few injuries come up in the squad.

The big news from last week was that striker Conor Washington suffered an injury to his ankle whilst away on international duty with Northern Ireland, which is set to keep him on the sidelines for three months.

Craig Forsyth was not in the squad on Saturday, with Louie Sibley playing out of position at left back. We could see this happen again.

Tyreece John-Jules returned to the squad on Saturday after two months out with a thigh injury. He is expected to remain on the bench in midweek.

Max Bird and Korey Smith were both also withdrawn in the second half on Saturday, but Warne confirmed they could be in contention again on Tuesday.

Here is how we think Derby will line up against Port Vale:
