Derby County recently got their ninth summer signing over the line.
Derby County have signed a lot of new players this summer, and there’s been some standouts for fans.
Supporters are impressed by Kenzo Goudmijn in the early stages of this season, whilst the recent signing of Jacob Widell Zetterstrom has gone down well with fans too.
And despite an impressive 1-0 win vs Middlesbrough last time out, there’s a sense that Paul Warne could still do with some Championship quality within his first-team squad.
And despite what’s a fairly small first-team at Pride Park, we could also see one or two exits before the August 30th transfer deadline.
Two players who could leave Derby County before August 30th
There’s no real interest in any Derby County players right now, so to say, but Warne may consider loan exits for a couple of first-team players, and Dajaune Brown is perhaps the one who fits into that category the most.
Brown started the Carabao Cup win vs Chesterfield. But fans offers mixed reactions of Brown’s performance in the 2-1 comeback win.
Warne says that he’s undecided on Browne’s future at the club this summer, suggesting that he’d like to have him as an impact player in the Championship this season, but also suggesting that Brown would be better off going out on loan.
Another who falls into this category might be Darren Robinson.
The Rams academy graduate hasn’t featured in a Derby County matchday squad this season, instead representing the U21s.
At 19 years old and having so little first-team experience to his name, a loan exit for the midfielder could be ideal this season, perhaps to League Two or even the National League where Brown shone with Gateshead last time round.

One player who Derby County could sign before August 30th
Although there’s very few Derby County transfer links right now, there is one name mentioned alongside a move to the club.
It’s claimed that Derby County are interested in Marvin Johnson at Sheffield Wednesday.
The 33-year-old left wing-back is thought to be out of contract next year, and he’s yet to start a league game for the Owls following the arrival of former Ram Max Lowe in the same position.
Left-back isn’t necessarily a position that Warne needs to bolster. But Johnson would certainly bring something different to the likes of Callum Elder and Craig Forsyth in that he’s a much more attacking-minded wing-back.
Johnson’s arrival could also give Warne freedom in terms of the shape, potentially allowing him to play a back-five with Johnson one of the wing-backs.
