Some Millwall supporters have taken to Twitter to praise Mason Bennett after the forward made his debut following his January move from Derby County.
Bennett traded Derby for Millwall on loan until the end of the season.
He has linked up with former Derby manager Garry Rowett at the Den. And, with his Rams contract expiring, has hinted at possibly making the move permanent.
Bennett made his debut as a substitute in Millwall’s 1-0 defeat at Wigan Athletic.
He impressed, prompting praise from several Millwall supporters on Twitter.
Bennett looks class, has given #Millwall something different as he goes past Byrne who recovers but it’s a Lions’ corner…and after pinball in the box Wigan eventually clear.

That’s why we won’t make the playoffs, we make teams like Wigan/Barnsley look like Barcelona. On the plus side Bennett looks decent and adds something different. On to Wednesday we go! #Millwall

Only positive was Bennett

Huffed and puffed, should’ve had a pen. We never seem to win at Wigan! Big positive for me was Mason Bennett who looked lively. Uphill task to reach playoffs now, maybe too much.

Not good enough yesterday against a poor Wigan side, didn’t move the ball quick enough, lacked ideas and quality going forward. Feels like if Jed and Bradshaw don’t click, we don’t play well. Positive was Bennett looked lively when he came on #Millwall

Can we start playing Bennett now? Or show some variety in the line up? Same thing every other week. #Millwall

Bennett returns after a lengthy spell out with injury.
The 23-year-old last featured for Derby in the 1-0 win over Preston North End back in November. He picked up an injury, ruling him out for up to three months.
Bennett struggled with fitness throughout his Derby career. In over 80 appearances, he managed to complete the 90 minutes on just two occasions.
The forward arguably needs a fresh start away from Pride Park. Millwall is a good opportunity, and he appears to have made an instant impact with the Lions.
