Derby County are bracing themselves for a bid in January from Brighton for defender Eiran Cashin.
The 21-year-old was subject to interest from The Seagulls in the summer transfer window, with the Rams reportedly rejecting bids after demanding upwards of £3 million.
The Ireland under-21 international ended up staying put at Pride Park following the closure of the window, but a move in January may be on the cards.
Derby star could leave in January

According to TEAMTalk, Brighton are preparing to make a fresh bid for Cashin in the January transfer window after failing to purchase him in the summer.
It is said that Brighton see Cashin as a ‘potential star in the making’ and the proposition of making the move to the AMEX is ‘attractive’ to the centre back.
Will Cashin leave?
Cashin is a Derby academy graduate, and over the last few seasons has established himself at Pride Park.
Last season he made 52 appearances for the Rams in all competitions, as Derby missed out on the playoffs in the final day of the season, finishing seventh in their first season in League One.
His performances last season caught the eye, which earned him the club’s Young Player of the Season award.
Cashin’s contract currently expires in the summer, so seeking him in January is the last chance Derby have to get a fee for his services, before he more than likely runs his contract down at the club.
Manager Paul Warne will want Cashin to stick around as the Rams look to mount another promotion push to the Championship.
It may be worth seeking Cashin for a fee, whilst trying to get him back on loan for the rest of the season, a deal which would be beneficial for both parties.
