Derby County stars Eiran Cashin and Maz Bird are both set to be offered new contracts.
According to Leigh Curtis of the Derby Telegraph, Cashin and Bird will both be offered new contracts ahead of the January transfer window.
Both players were subject to strong interest in the summer transfer window, with Bird gaining interest from Championship side Hull City, managed by former Rams boss Liam Rosenior, whilst Cashin was subject to multiple bids from Premier League Brighton.
Cashin & Bird to be offered new deals, Warne confirms

Speaking in his pre-match press conference before their clash with Bristol Rovers on Saturday afternoon, Warne confirmed that the club will be offering both Cashin and Bird new deals.
“Both (Cashin & Bird) will be offered a new deal.
“I would like to think that the possibility is they would like to sign, but that is something you would obviously have to ask them. Why wouldn’t they be offered a new deal? It is the time prior to January to try to convince them to sign.
“It’s not just the players you have to convince but their advisors too. I would like to think we can convince them both to stay but I am not naive enough not to realise that people will be whispering in their ears.”
Should they both sign new deals?
This will come as brilliant news for Derby fans, but news that was probably expected.
Cashin and Bird are arguably two of Derby’s best players, but with both players’ contracts expiring in the summer, it must be a priority for the club to get their deals sorted.
Both players are likely to be subject to even more strong interest in the January window, so it would be mutually beneficial for Derby to know whether they will be staying or not, so they can potentially cash in on the pair whilst they still hold a value.
Derby will hope to get a lot more money from Cashin if he is to have Premier League clubs bidding for him once again.
