According to the Hull Daily Mail, Derby County striker Jack Marriott has undergone a medical at Hull City ahead of a free transfer move to the KCOM Stadium.
Derby signed Marriott from Peterborough United in 2018.
The Rams spent around £4 million to sign Marriott, and many supporters felt the club struck a potential bargain after the striker netted ten goals in 19 starts in 2018/19.
Former Derby manager Frank Lampard claimed Marriott had a big future ahead of him.

But Marriott later fell out of favour at Pride Park. He struggled for game-time under Phillip Cocu before spending last season on loan at relegated Sheffield Wednesday.

Now, he appears on the verge of a move to newly-promoted Hull City.
The Hull Daily Mail quote manager Grant McCann saying a new signing is potentially arriving. The report now names Marriott, with the player undergoing a medical.
Derby tried to extend Marriott’s contract for another season in December. However, the EFL rejected the extension due to the club being placed under embargo.
The situation gives Hull the chance to sign a long-standing target. Back in 2019, the Tigers were also linked with Marriott as a potential replacement for Jarrod Bowen.

Marriott joining Hull would leave Derby down to the bare bones upfront.
Lee Gregory has left after his loan. Martyn Waghorn’s contract expires this summer. Colin Kazim-Richards is the only senior striker left under contract, and he turns 35 in August.
