According to TEAMtalk, Derby County are among a host of Championship clubs keen on signing Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy on loan.
The 25-year-old joined Newcastle for £12 million from Norwich City in 2017.
Murphy, however, struggled to make an impact on Tyneside and spent last season on loan at Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

Now, TEAMtalk claim the Owls want him back but face competition from Championship rivals Derby, Nottingham Forest and Stoke City among others.
Murphy was linked with a move to Pride Park in 2019 in the January transfer window.

A report in the Daily Mirror claimed then manager Frank Lampard wanted to bring the player in to boost his side’s push for a top six place, but a deal never materialised.
Murphy is quick and skilful. Capable of playing on either flank, the former Norwich man posted nine goals and four assists in 24 Championship starts this past term.
Derby have struggled for creativity out wide and it’s an area to strengthen.
Martyn Waghorn, Tom Lawrence, Duane Holmes and Jason Knight all featured in wide roles this past season. However, arguably none of them are naturals there.

Manager Phillip Cocu will be desperate to strengthen his winger options.
If Derby are playing with a limited budget this summer, then bringing in players like Murphy on loan appears to be a wise move and the winger ticks several boxes for the Rams.
