Rangers look set to offload George Edmundson on a permanent basis – but he won’t be cheap if Derby County want him permanently.
Edmundson landed himself in Steven Gerrard’s bad books having broken lockdown, and it seems pretty clear that he has no future at Ibrox.
The Gers have Connor Goldson, Filip Helander, Jack Simpson and Leon Balogun at centre back, whilst Nikola Katic will return from injury this summer.

Edmundson can’t sit around being sixth choice at Ibrox, and Football Insider now claim that Rangers will let him leave for around £1million.
That would be a £350,000 profit on the 23-year-old, as Rangers paid £650,000 to sign Edmundson from Oldham Athletic in June 2019.
MORE DERBY STORIES
Edmundson has played eight times since joining Derby on loan in February, scoring once during his time with the Rams.

Edmundson put himself through the pain barrier last week, playing against Preston North End despite being injured as he attempts to help Derby stay in the Championship.
That kind of warrior attitude should be appealing to Derby, but a seven-figure outlay on Edmundson may depend on avoiding relegation and being taken over by Erik Alonso.
