Derby County and Queens Park Rangers were confirmed by our sister site Not The Old Firm as having attendees during Falkirk’s recent encounter with Dumbarton.
Falkirk drew 1-1 with Dumbarton in the Scottish League One fixture.
It’s seemingly rare for a club that far down the ladder to attract attention south of the border, but Falkirk have a few young talents on their books making plenty of noise.
Here we look at three potential targets Derby were scouting:

Robbie Mutch:
The Falkirk goalkeeper is a standout candidate following his form over the past 18 months.
MORE DERBY STORIES
According to the Falkirk Herald, Southampton have sent scouts to watch him in action with co-manager David McCracken saying he wasn’t surprised by the Saints interest.
It remains to be seen whether the Saints still retain a strong interest in the 22-year-old, with Harry Lewis coming through and acting as third-choice at St Mary’s.
Derby have Kelle Roos and David Marshall as options. The latter, however, recently turned 36 and could be looking at a return to Scotland before retiring.
Kai Fotheringham:
Fotheringham, 17, is on loan at Falkirk from Dundee United.
The talented forward has been tipped for a big future, having already featured at Scottish Premiership level prior to moving to The Bairns on loan last month.
Fotheringham scored on his Falkirk debut in a cup tie against Arbroath.

Callumn Morrison:
Morrison came through the ranks at Hearts before joining Falkirk in 2020.
A wide forward, the 21-year-old is arguably the club’s best player and five goals in seven games prompted Falkirk to extend his contract until the summer of 2022.
Morrison is likely to attract interest this summer and climb back up the ladder.
Derby have dipped into the Scottish market before and found great value-for-money signings with both Johnny Russell and Craig Bryson becoming fan favourites.
Graeme Shinnie also joined the Rams in the summer of 2020 on a free transfer from Aberdeen, and he has established himself as a first-team regular under Wayne Rooney.
