Derby County manager Paul Warne has the full backing of the club, according to reports.
Warne has been under fire recently after some poor results and poor performances, with the Rams sat in ninth position in League One.
Their most recent game was a 3-1 loss away at Stevenage on Saturday afternoon, a result which a lot of Derby fans were not pleased with, which has put Warne under a lot more pressure.
Journalist issues update on manager’s future
According to Dominic Dietrich from BBC Radio Derby, he has been told by someone high up at the club that Warne has the full backing of the club.
It is also said that the board wants to reiterate the importance of stability, and that they will not be making a ‘knee jerk’ change quarter of the way through the season.
Verdict on Warne
You can see both sides as to whether Warne should be sacked or not.
On the side Warne in, you have the fact that they are not in bad form, only losing two of their last eleven games in all competitions.
However on the flip side, some of the performances have not been good enough like they were on Saturday, and with the squad that Warne has at his disposal, Derby should be higher up in the league than where they are currently.
Warne has previously said the job has been harder than he anticipated.
They have also been struggling to score as much as they should be, only scoring 14 goals in their last eleven games, considering they have only lost two of these games, this is poor. This is something Warne has spoken about.
It will certainly be interesting to see if Warne does stick around.
