Some Derby County supporters have taken to Twitter to criticise defender Craig Forsyth following his performance in the 3-0 defeat at Reading.
The Rams looked to an end a five-game losing run at the Madejski Stadium. However, their task was made incredibly difficult after just a matter of minutes.

Derby pushed for an equaliser and displayed plenty of effort. However, more slack defending from the Rams saw Reading score two more second half goals to wrap up the win.
Taking to Twitter, some Derby fans singled out Forsyth as a major weakness.
Forsyth is just so so poor at CB. Had one good game. Bring on Clarke returning

Don’t see how this is cocu’s fault. Forsyth is awful, shouldn’t have got back in the team.
The chances we have had to get back into the is unreal. Need someone who can score goals and not just tap’ins. Hope cocu can bring to talent in.— Jamie Needham DCFC (@jamieneedham_) December 21, 2019
Feel for cocu massively. Can’t wait for this season to be over so he can sort out the squad. Forsyth needs to hang his boots up for good. So many chances in this game to gwt a win but can’t hit a barn door.

Can we sack Forsyth #dcfc

Whilst I feel for Craig Forsyth, as coming back from an injury as bad as his for the second time must have been tough, he’s been absolutely diabolical and was at fault for at least 2 goals today. We desperately need Clarke/another centre back in January… #dcfc #dcfcfans

Anyone who ever slated keogh is now seeing the reality of us playing without him with Forsyth and Davies at the back. #dcfc #rams #dcfcfans

Craig Forsyth has come back into the Derby fold after a year out with injury.
He made a decent impression during Derby’s last win against Preston North End. Since then, though, he has often looked shaky and his luck ran out at Reading.
Forsyth was too weak in the tackle for Reading’s first. The Royals’ second goal came from the Scot’s poor clearance, while he conceded the penalty for the hosts’ third.
Predominantly a left-back, Forsyth has been covering for the injured Matt Clarke at centre-back. It’s a decision manager Phillip Cocu has been forced into making.
A new defender in the January transfer window has become a top priority now. In the meantime, Andre Wisdom may offer another solution to Derby’s defensive crisis.

The defeat now leaves the Rams down in 17th in the Championship table.
