Derby County look like they could add another deadline day signing before 11pm.

Derby County have signed Nat Philips on loan from Liverpool.

The centre-back joins on deadline day and looks like a shrewd signing for the Rams.

Phillips revealed conversations with Paul Warne before his move to Pride Park, citing Warne as a big influence behind the move.

And Warne may have another trick up his sleeve with Derby County working on another loan deal before the summer transfer window slams shut at 11pm.

Derby County eyeing Ipswich Town midfielder Marcus Harness

Derby County are now being tipped to sign Ipswich Town midfielder Marcus Harness on loan.

The winger, who can play either on the left or right, featured 34 times in the Championship for Ipswich Town last season, scoring four and assisting one.

He’s featured twice as a substitute in the Premier League this season, but John Percy says that he’s expected to join Derby on loan.

Derby County bolstering an emerging problem position

There’s been a lot of focus on other positions on the pitch this summer, but Derby don’t actually have a lot of depth on the wings.

And recent performances from the likes of Tom Barkhuizen suggest that Derby don’t have much quality on the flanks either.

So this Harness signing seems to make a lot of sense for the Rams.

Harness is a player with recent Championship experience, and he comes from an Ipswich Town team that play very good football too.

He should slot in nicely and compliment the likes of Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, and give Warne another outlet on the flank.

For the Rams, it looks like deadline day could end very positively, though with so little time left, Warne and those involved will need to make sure this Harness deal goes through without a hitch.
