Derby County travel to Barrow in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

Derby County face League Two contenders Barrow in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

The Rams progressed into the next round of the competition after beating Chesterfield 2-1.

Paul Warne’s side then followed up that first win of the 2024/25 season with a first Championship win of the campaign, beating Middlesbrough 1-0 at Pride Park.

Last time out, Watford beat Derby County 2-1, despite the Rams taking the lead through Ebou Adams after just two minutes.

Derby County team and injury news vs Barrow

Derby County already have a few key players on the sidelines, with Eiran Cashin being one.

The central defender has been ruled put for two weeks due to concussion protocols, following a knock he took in the game vs Middlesbrough.

Kane Wilson also picked up an injury vs Boro and hell be sidelined for a few weeks with a hamstring injury.

Since then, first-team duo Ben Osborn and Josh Vickers have both picked up fresh injuries ahead of the Barrow game.

Summer signing Osborn is expected to make a hasty return following a minor calf injury, whilst Vickers will be absent for a while longer with a groin injury.

The likes of Corey Blackett-Taylor and Jake Rooney remain sidelined.

Derby County predicted XI vs Barrow

As he did against Chesterfield, expect Warne to make several changes to the side that faces Barrow.

Although Barrow have started well this season, with two wins from three in the league, Derby County are still expected to win the game.

Striker Dajaune Brown could be one who comes in; he faces an uncertain week ahead as Warne weighs up a loan exit for Brown.

Craig Forsyth impressed vs Chesterfield and could be one who starts vs Barrow, possibly along with the likes of Joe Ward who made his return to action vs Watford last time out.

Expect summer signing Kenzo Goudmijn to be rested having started every game so far this season.
