Derby County loanee Tawanda Chirewa may already have doubts since his arrival.
Derby County’s recruitment in the summer was quite simply splendid, with them showing that you can get a perfect blend of English experience with European talent.
The likes of Ben Osborn and Nat Phillips joining was an incredibly smart move from Paul Warne, who looked to add players who have performed in the Premier League to his side, as well as David Ozoh, who has got off to a brilliant start at Pride Park.
The signing of Kenzo Goudmijn has also been a brilliant move by Derby County, as the previously unknown Dutch midfielder has clearly wasted no time in adapting to the Championship.
Warne will be excited with his current options, and with the current squad being full, depth is certainly not an issue for his side.
However, one Derby County signing we are yet to see much from is Tawanda Chirewa, and he may be having doubts as a result of one thing since he arrived.

Tawanda Chirewa is yet to be given sufficient game time at Derby County
Young attacking-midfielder Chirewa was signed on loan from Premier League outfit Wolves, with the 20-year-old joining with plenty of promise after notching eight Premier League appearances for his parent club during the 2023/24 campaign.
However, since his arrival he has just been given one half of football under Warne, featuring in the EFL Cup defeat to Barrow.
As for the following Championship victory against Bristol City, Chirewa was an unused substitute, as fellow attacking-midfielder Goudmijn shone for the Rams by bagging a brilliant goal from outside the box.
The midfielder can also be utilised on the right-wing, however the Bristol City clash saw attacking signing Kayden Jackson slot out wide, with Tom Barkhuizen replacing him.

Tawanda Chirewa looks unlikely to be a starter for Derby County
With the arrival of Phillips, Warne made it abruptly clear that in order to fit the Liverpool loanee into the side, he will be looking to utilise him in a new formation, which will see Derby County play with a back-three and two strikers.
As a result, Warne will either take away a midfield slot or look to utilise wingers less, with either ultimately directly affecting Chirewa’s likelihood of game time.
The new Derby County signing will have to be patient with his chances as the likes of Jackson and Goudmijn have both provided performances that have made them undroppable, and whilst the Wolves loanee may have arrived with an expectation to start games in the Championship, he may have to settle as a back-up option.
